Chauffour SUR VELL,
the engulfed city
It was a priory of Solignac abbey. Chauffour sur Vell is at the confluence of two streams : the Soustre and the Vell.
It is the last village before the Lot. Its church has got a typical portal of Limousin with two columns and headboards.
Walking along the streets, you will notice walnuts sheds where they dry the nuts.
